The News Literacy Project is seeking proposals from school districts to host a NewsLitCamp, a day-long professional development experience based in a local newsroom. NewsLitCamps bring educators and practicing journalists together to discuss news literacy and journalism.

We will be reviewing proposals on a rolling basis beginning in mid-December. We will continue to accept submissions until a proposal is chosen. All proposals will be saved for future consideration as grant funding becomes available. If you have any questions, please email

This NewsLitCamp is made possible through the generosity of the Google News Initiative and will take place in spring 2022.

To submit a proposal, please complete this form.
