"Ask a Journalist" is a new feature in The Sift® newsletter designed to give your students a chance to ask questions about journalism, news coverage, newsroom decisions, press freedoms, and anything else they may be wondering about the news! What questions do your students have?

Submit them here and they may be featured and answered in an upcoming issue of The Sift! bit.ly/askajournalist

I love this idea, Hannah! What a great way for educators to get some of their student questions answered from journalists. Thanks for asking, and providing this opportunity.

  1. How does a journalist gather information for a news story?
  2. What is the importance of objectivity and impartiality in journalism?
  3. What are the ethical considerations that journalists must adhere to?
  4. How has digital media and social media impacted journalism practices?

I have a list of question but answer these first.
Thanks..
