Karina Muranaga Product Designer

Karina Muranaga leads end-to-end product design and user research processes to create user-centered experiences that deliver NLP’s range of tools and resources to educators and students. She has worked as an independent product designer and researcher on social impact projects, including a language revitalization app and a mutual aid platform, and she is passionate about using human-centered design to build equity and inclusion. Before joining NLP in 2023, she worked at A Blade of Grass, an organization that supports and amplifies the work of community-engaged artists, where she designed digital, print and in-person experiences. Her visual design work was featured by the United Nations in a 2020 COVID-19 digital campaign and by the Center for Cultural Power.

Karina is a graduate of New York University, where she majored in studio art.
