News Literacy District Fellowship Alumni Program

Inspire. Mentor. Impact.

NLP News Literacy District Fellowships reimagine district-wide news and media literacy learning, empowering students to think critically about information and preparing them to be active participants in our democracy.

The News Literacy District Fellowship program helps education leaders develop and implement district-wide news and media literacy education.

Develop districtwide learning.

Purpose

The News Literacy District Fellowship program supports educators and district leaders who want to provide students with essential news and media literacy knowledge and skills, improving their ability to navigate our disordered information environment and driving their civic engagement. At the end of this two-year commitment, alumni districts are encouraged to remain engaged to promote the continuous improvement, implementation and growth of this initiative and support the education leaders who follow them.
