An inside look: 6 things to know about AI: What every educator should understand |
Artificial intelligence is already a fixture in our daily lives — and our classrooms. Whether it’s helping students use generative tools like ChatGPT or addressing concerns about misinformation and media manipulation, AI is changing the way we think about teaching and learning.
To help you stay informed and ready to guide your students, we created “6 Things to Know About AI,” an infographic that breaks down the essentials. It covers everything from how generative AI works and how it’s trained to why human oversight is still crucial.
This infographic is just one piece of our AI summer school collection. If you’re planning a summer school course — or just want to explore ways to introduce AI into your teaching — you’ll find ready-to-use lessons, discussion prompts and activities designed to build students’ critical thinking skills around AI and the information they encounter online. And don’t miss our “Quick-start AI teaching guide,” a downloadable one-page PDF with suggested resources to aid in your planning – find it on newslit.org/ai-summer.
