Jake Lloyd oversees social media strategy and content posting for close to 10 platforms – bringing the organization’s work to a wide range of target audiences, consistently increasing visibility and keeping a finger on the pulse of the top stories that relate to news literacy. Before joining NLP in 2018, Jake spent nine years as a communications and development manager at DC SCORES, helping to raise the profile of the award-winning after-school program in Washington, D.C. He also was a sportswriter, covering the NBA, MLB, college basketball and more, and he hosted a podcast about American University men’s basketball. Jake graduated from Albion College with a bachelor’s degree in American studies, a minor in journalism and a concentration in mass communications.
