Jessica Walker is the Human Resources Compliance Specialist at the News Literacy Project. She manages onboarding documentation, employment verifications and performance review processes and helps ensure policies and job descriptions are current and compliant.

Before joining NLP in 2025, Jessica spent eight years at M3, a hospitality technology company, where she led employee engagement initiatives, planned company events, supported employee relations and managed full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, payroll and benefits.

Jessica earned a dual bachelor’s degree in management information systems and marketing from the University of West Georgia. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in artificial intelligence and machine learning at Colorado State University, where she focuses on the intersection of AI and HR.
