Meagan Carr is the Prospect Research Manager at the News Literacy Project. She conducts in-depth research and analysis of donors and prospects, supporting the Development team and frontline fundraisers as they build and maintain a robust fundraising pipeline. Before joining NLP, she worked as a prospect research specialist for Blood Cancer United, developing comprehensive donor and prospect profiles and collaborating with fundraisers to strengthen portfolio strategy and stewardship. Prior to that, Meagan worked at Fisher House Foundation in Rockville, Maryland, and The Learning About Multimedia Project (The LAMP) in New York, where she managed CRM administration, donor relations, grant applications, and fundraising events. Meagan graduated from Elon University with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and minors in peace and conflict studies and cultural anthropology.
