
Ryann Lynn is the Manager of State Policy at the News Literacy Project. She supports state engagement and helps coordinate local groups who advocate for legislation that ensures all students receive news literacy instruction before graduating from high school.
Ryann previously worked at WFSU Public Media, where she used PBS and PBS KIDS media and resources to work with families, students and educators to enhance literacy and civic awareness. Before that, she worked as a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives and as an organizer and lobbyist for affiliates of the Public Interest Research Group.
Ryann has a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a focus on advertising and public relations and a Bachelor of Arts in photography from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is currently finishing a master’s in social work at Florida State University.
