The U.S. is 64th out of 180 on the World Press Freedom Index. Let’s change that.

The U.S. is 64th out of 180 in the World Press Freedom  Index.

Reporters Without Borders uses  economic, political, legislative, security and sociocultural indicators to  analyze each country’s press freedoms. The United States, a country  founded on First Amendment rights, including a free press and free speech,  received a “problematic” score of 62 out of 100. But where there is news  literacy, there is hope. When students understand their First Amendment  rights and value a free press, they’ll be prepared to protect both. That’s  where you come in.

All gifts matched in support of a  free press!

Help us reach more kids.

This month, all one-time gifts will be matched, dollar for dollar up to  $10,000. Plus, all new monthly gifts will be annualized and doubled! For example, a $50 monthly gift will be multiplied by 12 and  receive a $600 matching gift!

Thank you to Debra Perry and her foundation, the PB&K Family  Foundation, for helping us reach more students this month with her  generous matching gift contribution.
