The Sift®
Our weekly newsletter is back, providing teachers with a summary of the previous week's top news literacy-relevant stories and examples of misinformation. This year we are including a classroom-ready “think sheet” in each issue (example here). And on the first Monday of each month we’ll share a reimagined, video-based News Goggles featuring conversations with journalists about their work. We've also transformed The Sift's popular Viral Rumor Rundown into a web-based blog that highlights news literacy learning opportunities presented by timely examples of misinformation.

We’re about to launch a new contest in Checkology! “Hometown Headlines” asks students to pitch us a newsworthy story idea from their local community.
